I had a desk job in San Francisco when I began visiting a winemaker friend on the weekends in Livermore, CA. To be honest, we mostly drank, but I did offer my hand for a couple of Saturday work-days at the winery. Inspired, I left my job and worked the 2017 Harvest in Sonoma, CA. I quickly found out that the more I learned, the less I knew. I had just a drip of visibility into an ocean of history, culture, geology, science, art, and tradition.
I moved to New York. I’m thankful to be surrounded by people who have incredible wine knowledge and are always happy to taste and discuss wines from around the world. More than anything, wine excites me because it’s meant to be shared & enjoyed with others, and it's delicious.
