About the estate: Luciano Sandrone is one of the most iconic producers in Barolo. Sandrones' wines are often described as straddling the modern and traditional styles of the region: elegant, attractive and easy to drink young but with all the structure of classic Barolos. Sandrone is obsessive about training, pruning and harvesting which results in extremely high quality and low yields. Sandrone has a unique yet traditional approach in the cellar; he subjects his wines to a medium-length maceration period and uses limited new oak in the maturation process. This results in limited production wines which can age for long periods of time and are impeccably balanced and precise.
